T.A.P. CALENDAR 2012

2012 SOUP SALES 
The Traditional Anglers of Pennsylvania will sell "Home Made Soup" at the Portage Senior Citizen Center starting at 9:30 a.m. Soup will be sold January, February, and March 2012.

April 7 and 8, 2012 

The Traditional Anglers of Pennsylvania will be holding an open house at their Kane Run Trout Nursery between the hours of 12:00 Noon till 4:00 p.m. Come on down and see the trout that are going to be stocked this year.

Annual T.A.P. Free Fishing Derby for kids Ages 12 and under. Many prizes given away. The event will be held at Crichton-McCormick Park in Portage and is the largest derby in the area. 12:00 Noon is the starting time and the main prizes will be given away at 4:00 p.m. Food and Refreshments. Over 700 trout to be stocked including Brook, Rainbow and Palomino Trout. So come spend the day with us. Rain or Shine. 

June through September 2012 

T.A.P. sponsored Chicken Bar B Que. $4.00 Half of Chicken: Route 53 Portage, PA. Selected Saturdays June-September. Watch for signs on Main Street in Portage and Route 53. 

September 29, 2012 

Portage Coalition of Sportsmen Youth Field Day. T.A.P. is a member of this organization. Must be 12 years old. Learn how to shoot a shotgun, bow and .22 rifle. Fishing Derby in the afternoon. Learn how to call a Wild Turkey and hunt for them safely, plus muzzleloader shooting. Food and refreshments are free as well as all equipment. Certified Firearms Instructors. 

December 2012 

Winter stocking of trout by T.A.P.  Trout will be stocked in Noels Creek and Benscreek. First Saturday after Deer Season.  Weather permitting. 

Volunteers are always welcomed. If you can't volunteer, please come and watch the kids enjoy hunting and fishing programs that we provide.
